In this role, you will provide crucial support to various departments including sales, business operations, traffic management, and promotions. This is a part time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Accounting/Business Manager

The Manchester Radio Group and the Monadnock Broadcasting Group, both divisions of Saga Communications of New England, LLC are seeking an Accounting / Business Manager to join its team in Manchester, New Hampshire.

This full-time position, based in Manchester, New Hampshire, is a full charge accounting position with responsibility for three radio station groups; Manchester NH, Keene NH, and Brattleboro VT with one Assistant Business manager based in Keene, New Hampshire.

The Director of Accounting / Business Manager is responsible for all the financial reporting and human resources for thirteen radio station in three markets.  This position requires the understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsibilities include financial statement preparation including work papers and related schedules, general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, budgeting, credit/collections, human resources, and benefits administration. Position requires demonstratable analytical skills that allow you to interpret data and problem solve as well as excellent computer skills with accurate data entry.

Qualified candidates must have a college degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar accounting and decision-making position (broadcasting experience preferred). Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a plus. This position requires you to function in a fast-paced and self-directed environment, be organized and flexible. You must also be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. This candidate must be detailed oriented and an excellent communicator who can work well with a variety of personalities and handle HR issues.
